Why This Centre Exists

This centre was built by two mums. Between us, we have six young children, little lives that depend on us, need us, and see us as everything. And then cancer entered our world. Not just as a diagnosis, but as a journey filled with appointments, uncertainty, exhaustion, and the overwhelming task of trying to hold everything together… while falling apart ourselves. What we weren’t prepared for was how hard it was to find support, including mental health support resources that truly understood our struggles.

We were sent from place to place... exercise physiology in one location, counselling in another, dietetics somewhere else. Retelling our story over and over. Sitting on waitlists. Trying to coordinate care while navigating treatment, side effects, and being mums. It was fragmented. It was exhausting. And at times, it felt incredibly lonely, especially when we needed peer support resources to connect with others facing similar challenges.

We kept thinking… there has to be a better way. A place where everything is together. A place that feels calm, safe and supportive. A place where you don’t have to explain yourself over and over. A place where the people around you truly understand...

So we built it... The Patient Approach Cancer & Wellness Centre exists to bring all of the support services you may need under one roof, including access to online health care sessions, so you can focus on what matters most: your health, your family, and yourself. Because no one should have to navigate cancer alone.
